is located in Wanganui on the West Coast of New Zealand’s North
Island, about 2 hours north-west of Wellington. Widely celebrated
as a lifestyle centre, Wanganui has a unique cluster of mutually
co-operative light engineering and manufacturing enterprises enjoying
the low cost structure and superb climate.
Two ex-foundry managers who recognised a special market niche for
high quality pipe fabrication and welding established the Company
in 1994. Since then growth has been steady and the company currently
employs 10 full time staff.
Products and services include all shape and manner of steel pipefittings,
pipe joining systems, wheel rims and general fabrication and welding
activities, including on-site project design and in situ pipeline
welding.
Current customers include NZ’s major construction companies,
plus consulting and engineering service groups, distributors and
resellers and local authorities throughout New Zealand, and reaching
into the Pacific Islands.
In 2002 the company shares were purchased by a Wanganui based consortium
of investors incorporating the Janes family, and the Doyle Venter
Accounting Group.
Also in 2002 the company purchased a steel pipe concrete lining
machine previously operated by Steelpipe New Zealand, and have now
added sales of coated and concrete lined steel pipe to the company
range.
